Your tasks: As our System administrator, you act as the backbone of the R&D team through the wide variety of responsibilities ranging from systems and network management to IT security and management of licences and inventory. Systems Management: Install, configure, monitor, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications. Implement and oversee backup and recovery procedures to protect data Support customers setting up their environment Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain the organization’s networks and VPNs. Monitor network performance and address any issues or outages promptly. IT Security: Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software. Establish and enforce security policies and protocols. Monitor systems for any security breaches and address vulnerabilities. Software Licensing and Inventory Management: Manage the procurement of software licenses and ensure compliance. Maintain an inventory of all IT assets including hardware, software, and licenses. Your profile: To fill this role, we are looking for someone who: has at least a Bachelor in Computer Science or a related field has experience in: systems and network management (Proxmox, Debian, VPN, ZFS) network, server and application security user and identity mangement (MS365, SSH, certificates) IT systems monitoring software licensing and inventory management tools like Python, Git, systemd, bash, etc. takes ownership of their area of expertise and can advance it has strong problem-solving skills and likes to think outside the box (as a plus) has experience in pentesting and dealing with security breaches (as a plus) has experience managing cloud networks and services (as a plus) has experience working with governed bodies and their requirements regarding data security (as a plus) has relevant InfoSec certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCNP, …) and experience in implementing compliance to ISO/IEC 27001 and similar systems
