As Process Owner for Development & Integration in the Document Output Business of the company, the Application Architect is part of the Strategy and Process Management Team of the companies Document Output Processing Organization. The position holder will develop a deep expertise for the technologies and will shape the business' strategy. Working in an interdisciplinary team (no disciplinary lead), the Application Architect will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the IT architecture for our Document Output Business (plan & partly build aspect). As the expert for application architecture, you will be in close cooperation with local development and consulting teams as well as with our technology partners to capture, share and develop best-practice knowledge. In addition, the position holder will be closely engaged with operations in Germany, Switzerland and the UK to ensure smooth run of all Document Output operations. - Create and implement a strategy for the development and deployment of business applications meeting corporate needs and considering future demands - Lead the ideal execution of action items for all strategies and projects to ensure that the organization has a software architecture enabling the efficient delivery of outstanding business application services - Take care that appropriate policies, standards and guidelines are defined and adhered to on global scale - Respond to RFPs (Request for Proposal) by providing guidance regarding technical design, feasibility checks and proof of concept - Act as an organizational expert and align processes with up-to-date best practice methods - Build up and maintain effective partnerships with strategic software technology partners - University degree (Bachelor/Master/MBA) in Information Technology and/or Software Engineering - Minimum of 10 years enterprise IT application experience that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development / DevOps engineering, as well as business and information architecture (ideally but not mandatory POSY-MailManagement Cobol / POSY-MailManagement Java / POSY-ProductionManagement JCL) - Direct leadership and management experience of systems' development and integration in a Document Output environment, ideally in a virtual team in a matrix organization - Profound understanding and expertise in the Document Output industry - In-depth knowledge of process-/ project management as well as methodologic skillset for integration undertakings - Structured method of working and comfort to manage multiple priorities in a matrix organization - Ability to professionally communicate across hierarchies with C-level comfort and professional language skills in German (C1 level) and English (C1 level) - Passion to have freedom of design in the development and execution of position's activities - Enthusiastic to work in an interdisciplinary team as well as assertiveness and ability to convince stakeholders - Flexibility with up to 20-30% travel required for the position (mainly Switzerland, Germany, UK)
