Your Responsibilities: - Research, design, implement and optimise leading data processing algorithms - Collaborate with top researchers to push the limits of state-of-the-art data preparation - Prototype and implement proprietary algorithms on scalable cloud infrastructure - Work with engineering teams to bring algorithms from prototypes to production code - Document, coach and educate engineering team members in relevant research fields Minimal Qualifications: - PhD in Computer Science/Machine Learning/Natural Language Processing or related fields - Strong academic track record and relevant publications in internationally renowned journals - Extensive background in distributed systems, algorithm design, statistics, machine learning or natural language processing - Independent working style with a focus on measurable and applicable results - Thinks precisely, gets things done, has fun and loves working with a high impact team! Preferred Qualifications: - Solid coding skills in at least one programming language - Experience in Scala, Spark, Cassandra and/or other Big Data technology
