The position encompasses: • Working together in a team and delivering results within a multi-database platform environment • Performing the administration and operation of the SAP HANA databases • Maintaining technical knowledge of SAP HANA components and architecture • Participating in the solution design, build and delivery of new HANA database projects • Advising on performance optimization and tuning • Providing technical support for system issues and requires technical skills in: • SAP HANA installation, configuration and administration • Optimize system performance, backups and system copies • SAP HANA database patching • Managing security for the platform • Supporting RHEL environment including scripting • Basic networking skills in a virtualized environment • Experience administering Oracle databases preferably in Exadata environment Together with: • Excelling in a dynamic environment • Strong collaboration skills • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in order to communicate with all levels of the business & IT • Being delivery and customer focused: delivers quality in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Openness and transparency; shares information willingly • Strong sense of ownership and drive We look for candidates: • Minimum 5 years of professional DBA experience of which 2 years is with SAP HANA; preference having obtained SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA • Solution Manager experience is a plus • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) • Experience in other database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB) • With strong language skills – a high English standard is required; German is a must
