The Head IT works closely with the –mainly- UK based Business stakeholders to translate business strategy into innovative technology solutions, which are delivered alongside with the regulatory projects. The role owner is responsible for the 2nd and 3rd level support by coaching the specialists in the teams reporting into this role. Key Accountabilities: - Management of the Transaction Solutions team with up to 30 FTE - Discover and analyse UK customers' business and technical requirements and deliver industry state-of-the-art solutions - Application / Module Ownership (lifecycle, costs, quality), including i.e. xKyte, avaloq modules - Guarantee 2nd Level Support / bugfixing - Owns third party contracts with responsibility for relationship to ensure development of new functionality and third level support - Own release readiness for owned applications and modules (build into run) - Delivery of small System Enhancements - Project Management from Design to implementation - Gatekeeper for deployment of Change into production environment - Collaborate with the Group technology delivery teams in Switzerland, the UK and India to customize and implement innovative state of the art IT solutions - Participate in planning and opportunity evaluation with both the customer sponsor and key customer Managers & Executives, to drive customer satisfaction by delivering business value to the customer Skills: - Deep understanding of private banking market, technology trends, application solutions, regulatory and economical development and the fast chancing client behaviours, ideally also with knowledge of UK Banking - Work experience should involve a mix of business and technology consulting across the lifecycle of Information Technology (examples may include assessment and analysis, design, business case development, architecture, envisioning, planning, deployment, benefits analysis and project management) - Strategic business acumen and understanding of organisation strategy and ability to design information systems to deliver the strategy - Political savvy, strong influencing and stakeholder management skills - Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment - Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Experienced in working with C-level stakeholders with different cultural background - Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions - Ability to think creatively and find optimal solutions, strong critical thinker with problem solving attitude. - Demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills - Entrepreneurial and pragmatic in approach Required Experience: - Subject matter expertise in investments and payments, ideally full knowledge of the UK card, payment and investment industry standards - Proven track record in leadership roles in the Financial Services industry - Proven record of delivering business value from Information Technology at an executive level - Experience in working in cross-functional, multinational and geographically dispersed teams - Project management experience, agile methodologies are an advantage - Avaloq parameterisation and / or general programming experience are an advantage - More than 10 years experience with Information Technology Beneficial: - UK Banking experience (i.e. cards, cheques) - Avaloq Certification Other Requirements: - University degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science - Excellent English language skills; German skills are a plus
