Duties: - Technical project lead in embedded software development for a variety of machines and sensors used globally across a range of industrial processes (initial focus on market leading weighing and packing machines) Software development for complex automation solutions in collaboration with external partners and the global team - Support lifecycle management of embedded hardware and software - Support and coaching of other software developers in different business areas - Close collaboration with other R&D teams, technologists, commissioning engineers and product management - Maintain complete software and application documentation to professional standards - Testing of prototype machines in-house and commissioning at customer site Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science (Electronic Engineering or related subject) - Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in Embedded C Programming - Experience in industrial interfaces, fieldbus protocols - Must have worked with all stages of the product lifecycle (including obsolescence management) - Experience of design and test to meet international compliance standards - Fluent German and a high standard of spoken and written English essential - Willingness to travel (<10%)
