Your tasks: Lead the implementation of data science prototypes and projects, supporting digitalization initiatives. Support the development of automatic data collection and experiments protocoling tools to streamline data analysis processes. Assist in automating data analysis in laboratories and production plants, improving efficiency and accuracy. Contribute to promoting a culture of digitalization, data science and automation in laboratory and production environments. Work closely with chemical engineers, chemists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Visualize and communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Facilitate the integration of data science insights into the process development and decision-making workflows. Your profile: Master’s degree or PhD in (Chemical) Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science, or a related field. Proficiency in Python programming language, including experience with PyTorch, pandas. Hands-on experience in data science projects demonstrated through GitHub repositories, blog posts, deployed applications, or other relevant work. Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies, such as SQL databases and data lakes. Experience in project management and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent proficiency in English, with proficiency in German, French, or other languages as a plus. Experience in chemistry or process engineering is a plus. Experience of work with AWS is a plus.
